The Word of their Testimony

A Huge Double Rainbow
This week’s testimony is from a friend we met in North Carolina. Their family lost a loved one last Monday afternoon but in the midst of a difficult time God provided a display of his faithfulness.
Our Beloved Grandpa Richardson crossed over into glory and has made his way safely home. I know God said well done my good and faithful servant! Grandpa was grandpa to all…always serving and loving others every chance he got. Two weeks ago grandpa sat down with me on the back porch. He opened up his heart to me and told me he felt like he didn’t have much longer to live. Thursday at 3am grandpa went into the hospital for breathing problems. He ended up having a cardiac arrest which led to severe brain damage. Yesterday I ask God for a rainbow and when we looked out side the hospital room there was one right out side the window.
Today grandpa peacefully took his last breath at 4:35pm. When we left the hospital in Greenville I asked God to please do it again…God please give us a rainbow. When we pulled into our neighborhood there was a huge double rainbow! God was so good to give us that reminder he is faithful to the end! We are absolutely heart broken but are at peace because of the great hope grandpa had in Christ Jesus.
“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13
We are so thankful grandpa is no longer in pain and breathing freely the fragrance of heaven! Much more in our hearts to share later. We were so blessed to have such an incredible friend, father, and grandpa in our lives. One of his favorite songs that he asked me to play at his funeral is “ I can only imagine” by Mercy Me…now he no longer has to imagine! He is experiencing the fullness of God’s love for all eternity.
Grandpa use to always tell me I was his angel but the truth was he was always mine.
The Blood of the Lamb

I was recently captivated by something that John recorded in the seventh chapter of Revelation. "And there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands." You know earlier in the book John said he "heard the voice of many angels… ten thousand times ten thousand." That's at least one hundred million angels. Now I don't know if John can count to one hundred million, but we know someone can, so the "great multitude" had to be more than that. He further describes the seen, "All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures." Take a minute to close your eyes and try to picture that. The part that captivated me was what one of the elders said to John about the great multitude, "They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb" Thank you Lord.
Body/Bread
On the night he was betrayed. He took the bread, broke it, and said this is my body broken for you do this in remembrance of me, we remember. Lord, we remember your sacrifice. You did not hold back to save your life but gave yourself for us. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friend. Thank you that the greatest act of love was you laying down your life for me. (Receive the bread)
Blood/Wine
In the same way he took the cup and said this is the new covenant in my blood. Who knows that the blood of Jesus is not ordinary blood? The blood of animals and of men will stain a white robe but the blood of Christ washes a dirty robe white, thank you Lord. Our sin leaves stains as crimson, but the blood of Christ washes us white as snow. Lord, we thank you that we have been washed white as snow. (Receive the wine)
