The Word of their Testimony

An Amazing Opportunity

When was the last time you felt Holy Spirit nudged you to pray for someone or share the hope that can only be found in Him? And when was the last time you obeyed? If you have a testimony we’d love to hear it, mytestimony@theconqueringevidence.com.

I was encouraged by a story someone shared with me on Saturday. I asked them to write it down so I could share it. It’s a simple but powerful reminder, we are God’s plan, we are His hands and feet.

I work in the nursing department in a long term care facility. Recently one of our residents was admitted with a diagnosis of a terminal disease with little time left and has been having pain despite round the clock pain medication. She also has had a lot of anxiety and fear. Fear and anxiety of death and being alone.

After she shared these fears with me, I looked at her and said well I don’t know your beliefs. She said she believed in Christ. What an amazing opportunity to be used by God. I smiled and asked if I could pray for her. She said yes. I prayed for God to take away her pain and to remove her fear. I finished praying and stood up to leave. Almost immediately, she touched her face which was an area that was painful and swollen. She said it doesn’t hurt anymore, it stopped hurting. I immediately said thank you Jesus. She smiled and said thank you.

The next day I was off, the following day I was in her room and her friend was visiting and commented that her swelling was gone in her face. I smiled. God can use us anywhere; we just have to be obedient.

The Blood of the Lamb

Jesus willingly laid down His life for us. He offered His body for every one of us. His blood was poured out for every one of us. The communion table is an invitation for us to come closer and meet Him. To be cleansed, to be forgiven and freed. To be loved and to be made new in His presence. God thank you for being so good to us.

 Body/Bread

Luke 22:19-20 says He took the bread and He gave thanks, then He broke it. God thank you. He gave it to them and said this is my body given for you, do this in remembrance of me. We're ingesting the bread the very body of Christ, do it in remembrance of Him. Jesus thank you for your body, we receive right now, what you've done for us, all that you've done, even if we don't understand it or can't comprehend it. Receive it by faith. (Receive the bread)

 Blood/Wine

And in the same way after supper, He took the cup saying, this cup is the new covenant in my blood which is poured out for you. Jesus we lift the cup today, this blood that's been poured out for us. We're made new by this covenant that you made with us that you'll never go back on. God thank you. This new covenant of love, this new covenant of your blood. We receive your life, the life in the blood. Jesus thank you. (Receive the wine)
