The Word of their Testimony

Do you have a pancreas? Yes, and I plan on keeping it.

Sunday morning I received a text message from a friend. "I have a testimony for you". I talked to him a bit later at church and he shared of how God healed him just this passed Tuesday, April 9th.

Last Tuesday evening he made dinner for his family. As they were all eating dinner he started to get an upset stomach. He wasn't able to finish his food and was feeling sick by the time everyone was done eating. They had spicy food so he thought it could be indigestion but it kept getting worse and worse and the stomach pain increased. He tried laying on the couch but that didn't help. He felt really hot and clammy, his wife took his temperature but it was normal even though he felt like he was burning up. He started throwing up and had diarrhea.

They prayed together and his wife asked him if he wanted to go to the hospital and after some convincing he said yes. He had tried to tough it out but it kept getting worse and it got to the point that he couldn’t get off the couch and walk to the car so she called an ambulance. His wife went upstairs to tell their son and daughter that they were going to the hospital. She found them in their sons room praying for their dad. She also shared a prayer request with close friends and a few prayer networks.

They arrived at the hospital between 9:30 and 10pm. As they were waiting in the ER they prayed and his wife put on worship music. They gave him a CAT scan. The results showed a blockage and some perforations in his small intestine. The food he ate was trapped in his upper stomach due to the blockage and was causing the pain. His wife said it looked like he was dying. They admitted him around 2:30 in the morning, it looked like surgery was needed. At one point they asked him if he still had his pancreas. He responded yes, and I plan on keeping it. Wednesday morning they met with a surgeon. He ordered another CAT scan to get a second look before deciding what to do. When they got the results back the blockage was gone and so were the perforations! After keeping him for observation over night Wednesday, he was released from the hospital and is feeling better now, praise God!

The Blood of the Lamb 

He has triumphed, he has made a spectacle of every evil assignment on the face of the earth. He turned the narrative, he turned the story, he surprised every seemingly victorious plan of the devil but he did it in such a profound way. On the night in which he was betrayed he took the bread and he blessed it. Can we do this in intercession for the earth? We are participating in the covenant meal and as we do it there is a responsibility of prayer for the earth, for the nations, especially Israel. What's happening in the earth today is of biblical proportions. It's not just national, political, it's the principalities and powers that are responding, that are reacting to the purposes of God that will never be thwarted. Iran represents the King of Persia, the spiritual principality of Persia, so as the covenant body of Christ let's lift up this covenant meal.

 Body/Bread

Jesus, we thank you the night that you were betrayed you took the bread and when he had given thanks he broke it and said take, eat, this is my body which is broken for you, do this in remembrance of me. The first covenant came to Israel broken when Moses threw the tablets and broke them but this covenant does not come to us broken. The only thing that was broken in this new covenant was his body so that we can be whole. This covenant is whole and it's full and it's life giving. (Receive the bread)

 Blood/Wine

In the same manner, he also lifted the cup after supper saying, this cup is the new covenant in my blood. This, do as often as you drink it in remembrance of me. Jesus we lift up with great confidence. We lift it up for ourselves, for our families, we lifted up for our nation, we lifted up for the nations of the earth. We lift it up today as your body, as your praying body for Israel in the Middle East, for the nations God. We thank you that your purposes, your salvation, your blood covers over the nations, the boundaries, the borders, the airwaves in Jesus mighty name Hallelujah. (Receive the wine)
